In March 2015, as the first warm breeze swept through the city, Mxctuoi was born, driven by people's pursuit of a "high-quality everyday life." The founders were three creative individuals: a fashion designer passionate about functional clothing, a lifestyle blogger obsessed with outdoor aesthetics, and a product designer focused on lighting ambiance. They were tired of the market's dilemma of "either practical but boring, or beautiful but useless"—the pursuit of thin but inadequate outerwear, sunglasses that prioritize fashion over eye protection, and lamps that merely emit light but ruin the room's atmosphere. Therefore, they wanted to create a brand that "makes every everyday item both functional and aesthetically pleasing."

In the early stages of their business, with limited funds and a lack of connections, the team spent three months traveling between fabric markets in Guangzhou, sunglasses lens factories in Shenzhen, and small lighting workshops in Zhejiang. From the initial design drafts to the final samples, every product underwent repeated refinement. For example, when developing their first autumn jacket, they tested eight wool-cotton blend fabrics, ultimately selecting one that could withstand 15°C winds without being bulky. They also adjusted the shoulder line five times to accommodate different body types. When designing sunglasses, they insisted on using polarized lenses that block 99% of UV rays, and the frames were made of lightweight TR90 material—ensuring no red marks on the nose even after eight hours of continuous wear. To develop their first desk lamp, they spent seven consecutive nights adjusting the color temperature: a warm yellow (2700K) for the bedroom, so it wouldn't be glaring when reading in bed; and a soft white (4000K) for the study, helping to reduce eye strain. They also added a dimming button, allowing it to be used as a "night light" when dimmed.

These down-to-earth efforts were not overlooked. Initially, they sold their products through a small online store, but customers left comments such as, "This jacket is the warmest I've ever worn, and it doesn't make me look bulky," and "This lamp makes my bedroom feel like a café." Gradually, a group of loyal fans who appreciate "the details of life" gathered, laying the foundation for Mxctuoi's growth.

By September 2017, Mxctuoi had entered a period of rapid development. Through communication with customers, the team discovered that everyone's needs had become more diverse: office workers wanted a jacket that could be worn from commuting to dinner, travelers needed sunglasses suitable for both city streets and mountain hiking, and renters wanted to find lamps that matched the style of different rooms. So, they expanded their design team—hiring a designer with experience in outdoor brands to develop a "multi-scene jacket" (waterproof, able to handle sudden rain; removable lining to adapt to temperature changes); hiring a retro-style designer to launch "retro round-frame sunglasses" (equipped with modern anti-glare lenses); and hiring a minimalist designer to create a "slim desk lamp" (suitable for small desks in rental apartments). Simultaneously, they opened a small physical experience store: customers could try on jackets to feel the fabric, try on sunglasses under simulated sunlight, and experience the lighting atmosphere next to the lamp. They also trained customer service staff to remember customers' "small preferences"—if a customer said they frequently went camping, they would recommend a waterproof jacket and anti-fog sunglasses; if a customer lived in a small apartment, they would recommend a space-saving desk lamp.

These changes made Mxctuoi an instant success—the number of customers doubled within six months, and even some interior designers and fashion bloggers began recommending their products.
